Josh Hauman of Aurora is an Ashland University recreational services employee. He is majoring in economics, is the son of Michael and Barbra Hauman and is a 2013 graduate of Aurora High.
Recreational services employees work at the the recreation center to assist with the intramural program, sports clubs, group exercise classes, aquatics, personal training, outdoor pursuits and summer camps.
The recreational facility also includes a running track, golf simulator, game room, racquetball courts, tennis and basketball courts and a climbing wall.
Hauman also is a member of Ashland University's Kappa Sigma fraternity. Since being reinstalled in 2013, the brothers of Kappa Sigma have worked hard to bring success to their chapter. The chapter members raised $700 for the Safe Haven of Ashland from their "Greek Goddess" event, as well as over $1,500 from the "A Mile in a Soldier's Shoes" event.
The men are represented by employees in the recreational center, safety services, and the mail room.

Aurora's Austin Hayes of the Rochester Institute of Technology men's swimming and diving team earned 2016-17 Liberty League winter all-academic honors.
Thirty-two RIT student-athletes earned all-academic honors for the winter season. To be recognized, a student-athlete must be a sophomore or higher in class standing with a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.30.

Olivia Pollack of Aurora was among more than 80 students who participated in the 16th annual dance marathon at Baldwin Wallace University. The 12-hour marathon consists of performers, dancing and HIV/AIDS education.
