Aurora area robotics Team TBD excels in competition

Local robotics Team TBD competed at the Cleveland regional qualifying tournament at Tri-C Eastern Campus on Jan. 7. It was captain of the finalist alliance and won the highest judged honor -- the Inspire Award -- plus the Promote Award for creating a video promoting the robotics program.

Kent State MAC Center upgrade possible

KENT -- Kent State University's board of trustees heard ideas last week on upgrading the Memorial Athletic and Convocation Center. The MAC Center opened in 1950 and houses a variety of events throughout the year, including men's and women's basketball, gymnastics, volleyball and wrestling.

Exams coming up at the high school End of the first semester exams are coming up Dec. 19-21 at Aurora High. There will be an open campus schedule, and students do not have to report to their study halls or stay in school for lunch on those days.
